Why Pursue a Masters in Educational Leadership Online? The University of Cincinnati offers an online program where students can receive a Masters in Educational Leadership through the College of Education, Criminal Justice, Human Services, and Information Technology. Our program strives to prepare candidates for their future as leaders amongst students in grades PK-12. By pursuing an Educational Leadership degree, students will learn how to best implement diversity, inclusion, and fairness into their teaching curriculum. This program is fully accredited by the Ohio Department of Education and the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) and meets the standards of the University Council for Education Administration.
Our online Master of Education in Educational Leadership program offers three concentrations:
Non-licensure: Students have the opportunity to study Educational Leadership with or without an educational/professional background through our non-licensure track.
Principal Leadership (Licensure): You will focus on traditional school leadership while exploring social justice issues as well as administration strategies and theories.
Principal Licensure in Ohio: The Educational Leadership program meets the requirements for principal licensure in the State of Ohio, while also satisfying program requirements for a master's degree. Applicants who have already earned a master's degree, but have a desire to obtain principal licensure in the State of Ohio are suggested to apply here.
Principal Licensure in states other than Ohio: Each state has its own requirements for licensure. A student from a state other than Ohio should check with their state Department of Education to ensure this degree will meet the requirements for principal licensure/certification for that state.
Special Education Leadership: Promote equal, inclusive and progressive education within special education administrations.
