All first- and second-year students and all transfer students who want to major in Accounting, Economics (B.B.A.), Finance, Management, Management Information Systems, Marketing, Real Estate, Risk Management & Insurance, and the International Business co-major are admitted to UGA as Pre-Business majors.
Required Pre-Business courses include macro- and microeconomics, the legal and regulatory business environment, information systems, and two accounting courses. Supplemental courses are available in human resource economics, music business, entrepreneurship, computer programming, data management, and others.
The Terry College of Business accepts applications from third- and fourth-year Pre-Business students in the fall and spring semesters only. The number of admissions by major depend on the quality of the applicant pool and demand for and availability of space in each major. Currently enrolled UGA students must have a minimum 2.6 GPA and must have completed or be in progress of completing the core curriculum in order to apply to a Terry major.
