Georgia's Financial Transactions industry is growing. This certificate provides students with educational opportunities and access to the high-demand career field of FinTech. It includes topics in information systems, business processes management, information security management, and legal issues relevant to the financial services industry.
The certificate program is open to all currently enrolled undergraduate students at the University. Administration of the selection process for admission will be the responsibility of faculty identified by the unit head. In the event that student demand exceeds the number of seats available in the required courses, the application may serve as a selection tool, and a GPA cut-off may be implemented. The certificate requires 12 course hours with a minimum grade of C in those courses. Students are expected to simultaneously satisfy the requirements of the certificate while completing their degree requirements. If courses listed below are used to satisfy degree requirements, they may also be used to satisfy certificate requirements. Twelve hours must be completed as resident credit.
