The Medieval Studies Certificate at the University of Georgia is an interdisciplinary program offering courses and study of the language, literature, history, and culture of the medieval period. It is the only program of its kind in the state.
Students develop their curriculum in consultation with their major professor and approval by the Steering Committee of the Medieval Studies Program while completing their degree in their established department. An interdepartmental lecture series, research project discussions, student-run Medieval and Renaissance Society (with weekly duels and sword fighting!), and other social interaction compliment coursework for a unique experience.
