OpportunitiesStudents graduate from the Department of Geology and Geophysics (GG) with an in-depth understanding of the relevance of the geosciences to society, especially in Hawaii and on Pacific islands, as well as the ways human civilization impacts the Earth and environment. Students are able to use skills in math, physics, chemistry, and biology as well as technical knowledge in computer applications, laboratory methods, and field techniques for solving real-world problems in the geosciences.
