Houston Biomedical Sciences (HBS) offers a rigorous Bachelor of Science degree that partners with the University of Texas Medical School in Houston and the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. Affiliated faculty from the University of Houston, the University of Texas Medical School, the University of Texas Medical Branch, local research hospitals, and other health care institutions regularly participate in activities pertaining to the major. HBS requires students to be in the Honors College.

Requirements to major in HBS:

Admissions to the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics and the Honors College
High School GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale
Minimum SAT Score of 1350 (CR+M)
