About Bachelor of Spanish for the Global Professions

The Minor in Spanish for the Global Professions is designed for students who anticipate careers in which they will need to interact with Hispanic communities in the U.S. or abroad and who wish to continue the study of Spanish language and culture for specific professional purposes: business, translation & interpretation, and health. Students must complete 15 hours of advanced Spanish courses.

For Non-Heritage Speakers:

15 hours of advanced Spanish, 9 of which must be in residence. Minimum GPA=2.0
Students must complete 3301, 3302, 3339 and 6 additional advanced hours from the professional Spanish and Culture tracks.

Minor in Spanish for Heritage Speakers

15 hours of advanced Spanish, 9 of which must be in residence. Minimum GPA=2.0
Students must complete 3307, 3308, 3339, and 6 additional advanced hours from the professional Spanish and Culture tracks.
