The Certificate in Accountancy Program (CAP) is a non-degree seeking, post baccalaureate program that offers courses in the evening and occasionally on Saturdays to accommodate working professionals. CAP offers a variety of course options to help students meet their academic and professional goals by:
- Fulfilling the accounting prerequisite course requirements for the Master of Science in Accountancy (MSACCY) program.
- Fulfilling the educational requirements necessary for the Uniform CPA Examination in the state of Texas.
- Offering personal enrichment for students pursuing changes in their career paths.
Students who complete at least ten courses in the program with a grade of "C" or higher and meet the GPA requirements will be awarded the Certificate in Accountancy. Specialized certificates in oil and gas and internal audit are also offered through CAP.
