About Graduate Certificate in Real Estate Development

The Department of Urban and Public Affairs offers an 12 credit hour Graduate Certificate in Real Estate Development designed to equip graduates with the skills needed to make better real estate decisions with respect to investment considerations and site analysis and planning. The program will be particularly attractive to Urban Planning students desiring to work in the private sector; however, the program will also be appealing to students enrolled in other graduate programs at the university or who wish to complete the certificate on a stand-alone basis.

The program may be completed in conjunction with the Master of Urban Planning (MUP) program without the need to take any additional coursework beyond what is required for the MUP program. For MUP students, the certificate courses satisfy the requirements for the specialization in Community Development.

Transcripts

Applicants for admission to a degree program must submit an official transcript from each college attended. All University of Louisville transcripts will automatically be submitted with the completion of an application. Transcripts must be sent directly from the school to Graduate Admissions, in order to be considered official.
Applications to non-degree or certificate programs need only submit an official transcript certifying at least a bachelor's degree.

Test Scores

Applicants for admission to most graduate degree programs must take the general section of the Graduate Record Examination (GRE). Consult with your intended program for specific test requirements. GRE Information can be obtained from www.ets.org/gre or 1-866-473-4373.
Applicants applying as non-degree or visiting students are not required to submit test scores.

Recommendations
