About Bachelor of Civil Engineering

The Department of Civil Engineering offers a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (B.S.C.E.) degree. BSCE is the road map that leads to a professional engineering degree that emphasizes the engineering sciences and civil engineering design concepts needed to properly design, construct, and maintain naturally and/or physically built environmental systems such as roads, highways, bridges, dams, canals, water treatment plants, wastewater treatment plants, and buildings. The Civil Engineering curriculum prepares the student for both professional practice and graduate study.

- For International Transfer students interested in transferring to the University of Mississippi from a college/university outside of the USA:
  - - Academics:
      - Minimum 2.50/4.00 cumulative grade point average on all university/college courses completed.
      - Students who have completed less than 10 transferable courses at the university level (equivalent to 30 credits in the USA) must provide evidence of having earned a 3.00/4.00 cumulative high school grade point average, or higher, on a university preparatory curriculum (if graduated from high school outside of the USA).
      - Additional requirements apply for those applying to International Studies, Honors College, Public Policy Leadership, Manufacturing Excellence, and the Arabic Language Program.
