Sport is a multi-billion dollar industry that requires professionals with a range of management and leadership skills. Through the Sport Leadership and Management Certificate students will be prepared to assume the responsibilities for developing professional and amateur athletes and managing sports programs in a variety of academic, public and private sectors. Career opportunities exist in intercollegiate athletics, professional sport, major sports events, community-based sport, community relations, and sports marketing, ticket sales, and promotion.

- Develop a solid understanding of the sport industry and need for quality leadership and management at all levels.
- Gain an in-depth understanding of personal, interpersonal, and team-based skills–along with the concepts, models, strategies, and language–required to effectively manage and lead a sport program or organization and make a positive impact on regional, national, and global communities.

3.0 cumulative GPA OR 1120* SAT (evidenced-based reading & writing and math) OR 22 ACT (composite score). *1040 for exams taken prior to March 2016.
Transfer
2.5 GPA in 24 or more transferable college-level credits. Transfer students with fewer than 24 transferable college-level credits must meet the first-year student admission requirements.
