About Bachelor of Musical Theatre

The interdisciplinary minor in musical theatre is offered to students in all majors seeking to enhance their degree with an added focus in the discipline of musical theatre.

All students take core coursework in applied voice, dance and movement, scene study and production workshops, and musical theatre history and literature.

Non-theatre majors take foundational acting courses and non-music majors take foundational courses in musicianship and class voice.

Interprete American musical theatre from a variety of perspectives

Develop body awareness in dance practice using traditional and contemporary musical theatre styles

Learn the body's potential as a tool for creative expression

Develop entrepreneurial skills for a career as an artist and artisan

Improve acting technique using Stanslavsky, Meisner, Donellan and Hagen methodologies
