Our combined degree program enables ambitious mathematics majors to earn a bachelor's degree and a master's degree within five years. This program's flexibility provides several plans of study and offers both thesis and non-thesis options.

Our applied mathematics course of study prepares you for careers in business, industry, government or further study in mathematics. Applications from the sciences, industry and management are stressed in classical applied mathematics, operations research and statistics coursework.

More traditional, pure mathematics plans of study are also available, providing a solid background in the foundations of advanced mathematics. Choose this path if your goal is a Ph.D. degree in mathematics or interested in secondary or community college teaching.

To be eligible for admission for graduate study at the University of North Carolina Wilmington applicants must:

Grade Point Average: Have a strong overall academic record with a B average or better in the basic courses prerequisite to the area of proposed graduate study. Level: Graduate and undergraduate programs may not be pursued simultaneously.
Online Accelerated Programs (OAP): OAP programs must be pursued independent of any other program.
