About Master of Robotics

The master's degree in Robotics (ROBO) is a multi-disciplinary program jointly sponsored by the Departments of Computer and Information Science, Electrical and Systems Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering and Applied Mechanics.

Housed and administered by the GRASP Lab, one of the top robotics research centers in the world, Penn's ROBO master's program educates students in the science and technology of robotics, vision, perception, control, automation, and machine learning. Our students hail from a variety of engineering, scientiï¬c, and mathematical backgrounds, united by a passion for robots and a desire to advance robotic technologies to beneï¬t humanity. Our program provides an ideal foundation for jobs in a variety of industries including robotics, aerospace, automotive, industrial automation and defense; it also provides a solid basis for further graduate studies.

Entry Requirements

Our admission decisions are made prior to the announcement of results for many national examinations (such as the A Levels or French Baccalaureate), but applicants are expected to be enrolled in programs that prepare them for these examinations. If you are enrolled in a program that will not release external examination results prior to our application deadlines, you must request that your school send us predictions of external examination results along with your grades.

Where national examinations are required for admission to a pre-university program (such as the IGCSE or the SPM), you should have received high marks on these examinations and should present certified copies of the results with your Penn application.
