The geography minor is designed to enhance students' spatial skills. Global awareness is a fundamental component of many programs of study here at URI and is a critical element in developing spatial literacy. The 18-credit minor requires GEG 101 World Geography (3 credits) and 15 credits approved by the geography advisor.

- Official academic documents must be presented to the Office of Undergraduate Admission at the time of enrollment.

Such exemptions are determined on a case-by-case basis.
