About Bachelor of Theatre

Theatre at USD is home to actors, directors, playwrights and designers of the future. Our major, minor and MFA programs embrace theatre as a means to inspire humanity and engage a diverse society. Through collaborative artistic exploration, both undergraduate and graduate programs train the individual to create within the ensemble. Through the lens of playmaking, the undergraduate program focuses on developing empathy, critical analysis, creative problem solving and changemaking â€” integral parts of the liberal arts education at USD. The MFA in Acting program trains actors for careers in the professional theatre with special emphasis on classical works.

Entry Requirements

The Franciscan School of Theology is authorized under federal law to enroll non-immigrant students. In addition to the application elements already mentioned, international applicants must: Demonstrate their ability to speak, read, and write English by a TOEFL score. FST’s TOEFL number is 5736. (Exception may be made for students who earned their earlier degree at an English-speaking institution.) Supply official English translations of transcripts written in a language other than English. Submit a financial declaration attesting to the availability of funds ($US) sufficient to cover personal and academic expenses for the duration of their study.
