The Philosophy is a Bachelor degree offered by University of Southern Mississippi across its Hattiesburg and Online campuses in United States of America. The program is delivered on campus as a Full Time course in English and requires approximately 4 years to complete. Students study across its Hattiesburg and Online campuses while gaining the knowledge and practical experience expected for this area of study. The next intake is available from August 21, 2027.
The philosophy BA is for people who are not satisfied with surface answers, but want to think deeply about our most fundamental beliefs, questioning what is real, what we can know, and how we should live. Philosophy majors study what the great thinkers of the past have said and what it means to think through the issues, coming to conclusions of your own and using logical arguments to support those conclusions.
Strong Freshman applicants will present a 2.5 minimum GPA in core academic subjects. It is understood that most foreign education systems do not follow the same core curriculum as taught in U.S. high schools. Therefore, each applicant will be evaluated on criteria particular to the educational system of the country in which they completed their studies. However, it is expected that a college preparatory curriculum include courses in English, Math, Science, and Social Science.
