Through this certificate program, students are able to:

Students: How to apply Startups: Get involved

Students are required to complete Introduction to Entrepreneurship and Innovation (EI 5000), which is offered every semester. The three-credit class is open to students who have established a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above.

Following the introductory course, students will tailor nine credits of entrepreneurship-focused electives to match their interests and goals. Elective options include courses offered by programs across the campus. The multidisciplinary nature of the certificate program allows students from diverse academic backgrounds to work with their peers and explore various areas of expertise. Students are encouraged to work with their academic program advisor to select courses, which can be used as electives, and which can also be applied to their major.

A three-credit capstone course, which tops off the certificate program, is a customized project-intensive learning experience, embedded in the Detroit entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Each applicant is evaluated as an individual. Your admission to WSU is based on a review of many factors, which may include:
