As an Environmental Engineering undergrad at WPI, you'll work closely with pioneering faculty in environmental, civil, chemical, and mechanical engineering. You'll learn how you can make a difference for future generations by protecting public health and preserving the environment, with courses ranging from Water Treatment, Hydraulics, Hazardous and Industrial Waste Management, Kinetics and Reactor Design, Soil Mechanics, and Land Use Development and Controls. You may also pursue your bachelor's and master's degrees concurrently with the Environmental Engineering BS/MS program. Just as in the real world of environmental engineering, tackling challenges here at WPI will require collaboration with peers, strong teamwork, and problem-solving skills. PTE (Pearson’s Test of English): Recommended score of 61

WPI Undergraduate Admissions will also consider Initialview or Vericant interviews if submitted. These interviews are optional and serve as a supplement to one of the exams mentioned above, but alone they do not satisfy our English proficiency requirement.

No matter which type of student you are, be sure to use an email address that you check frequently when filling out your application. Keep in mind that many high schools block external emails, so we recommend using your personal email address if you have one. This email will be the main method of contact that WPI uses to reach you throughout the application process.

Step #2: Request Required Materials

Request your required high school transcripts and letters of recommendation while completing your Common Application. WPI is a test-blind institution, meaning SAT and ACT scores are not part of the WPI application. We do require:

Official transcripts sent from high school
- Transfer applicants must also submit college/university transcripts
School counselor letter of recommendation
Teacher letter of recommendation
Early Decision applicants are required to submit the Early Decision Agreement
