The scholarship will support a student studying a medical degree (MBChB) who has gained access to their medical degree through the G2M programme. Aberdeen medical graduates and local doctors have been donating towards the Aberdeen Medics Scholarship Fund for the purpose of funding a scholarship to enable students from disadvantaged backgrounds to study Medicine at the University of Aberdeen.
To be awarded the scholarship, you must receive and then firmly accept an offer, either conditional or unconditional, of a place at the University of Aberdeen.
You must be due to commence your medical degree at the University of Aberdeen in September 2023.
Students must be currently registered on the Gateway 2 Medicine scheme to be eligible for this scholarship. The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of financial need through the Gateway 2 Medicine scheme. Applicants must meet Widening Access characteristics. Academic performance on the G2M programme and personal circumstances will also be taken into consideration.
