Additional Requirements
We understand that students with experience of care or those who are estranged from their family can face additional challenges when transitioning from their time at university to employment or postgraduate study. This bursary is intended to help with the costs of setting up new accommodation, buying interview clothes and bridging the gap between graduating and employment or further study.
Eligibility
Undergraduate students registered with us as a care-leaver or estranged from their families and have confirmed and evidenced their status. If you meet this eligibility criteria you will be invited to attend a careers appointment to get bespoke support for progressing onto graduate employment or postgraduate study. If you attend the appointment you will be awarded the £500 bursary when you graduate.

If you have applied for our Care-leaver or Estranged student bursary and found to be eligible, you will automatically be invited to a Careers appointment.
