The Australia Awards aim to promote knowledge, education links, and enduring ties between Australia and our neighbours through Australia's extensive scholarship programs. The program brings together scholarships offered by the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFAT), the Department of Education and the Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research (ACIAR).

Benefits

Each scholarship covers 50% of registered tuition fees (includes Students Services and Amenities Fees) for the duration of the course. Two scholarships are available for each Semester 1 and 2 intake in 2022.

Eligible

The Dean of Law's Merit Scholarship is awarded to high achieving international students to study at the University of Tasmania in 2022, covering 50% of registered tuition fees.

Available to high achieving offshore and onshore International students who have an offer of a place in the Bachelor of Laws and associated double degrees when commencing their first year in 2022

Applicants must have previously completed pre-tertiary studies and be either:

A school leaver who has achieved a 95+ ATAR equivalent and has not already commenced tertiary studies. Or;
A Graduate who has achieved a High Distinction (85+/100) equivalent in their most recently completed and relevant tertiary studies.

Students must have met the minimum academic requirements as determined by an assessment made by the University of Tasmania on the basis of country-specific grading scales.

How to Apply

Students are assessed automatically for the Dean of Law's Merit Scholarship upon submission of their International Student Application, there is no need to submit a separate scholarship application.
