Additional Requirements
These scholarships are for UK applicants, towards your first year of undergraduate study and employability opportunities. There is also up to an additional £1,500 of funding support for employability opportunities, such as internships, placements or summer research programmes. Successful applicants will be enrolled on the Futures Scholarships programme. You will be supported by the Futures Scholarships co-ordinator to access career guidance and advice on University opportunities for personal and professional development. Recipients are expected to come to periodic meetings with relevant University team members. These awards are funded by donations from University of Bristol alumni and friends. To be eligible for this award, you must:
- be resident in the United Kingdom
- have been made an offer (or be awaiting a decision) to start an undergraduate programme at the University of Bristol in 2023/24
- be in full-time study - students undertaking part-time study are not eligible to apply
- have a demonstrable financial need
- be eligible for, have applied for and have accepted the financial support available from the UK Government (in the form of the tuition fee and living costs loans from the Student Loans Company).
Prospective students who select the University of Bristol as their insurance choice through the UCAS process will not be eligible for the award. Priority will be given to applicants:
- from a low-income household
- from areas of low participation in higher education
- who have attended an aspiring state school
- who are under 25 and have previously been in care
- who have a disability
- who will be over 21 years old at the start of the course
