GREAT Scholarships 2023

Countries we offer the scholarship to

• Ghana - 1 Scholarship
• Kenya - 1 Scholarship
• Malaysia - 1 Scholarship

Open to all 1-year or 18 months postgraduate programmes starting in September 2023

• Be a passport holder of Ghana, Kenya or Malaysia.
• Hold an unconditional offer and pass eligibility to study assessment for September 2023 intake
• Have a strong motivation and ability to excel on a masters' programme
• Possess extensive work experience or interest in your subject area
• Meet the entry and English language requirements of your masters' course

Expectations of award winners

• Be willing to embody the UK Higher Education experience, by attending lectures and tutorials and engaging with extra-curricular activities.
• Act as ambassador for the University of Bolton and UK Higher Education, by promoting the value of studying at a UK HEI
• Be willing to establish an engagement with the UK as a scholar, through personal and academic fulfilment
• Represent the high standards of the GREAT brand by becoming an advocate for scholarships
• Be willing to attend a networking event of all UK-based GREAT scholars, to discuss experiences and capture perceptions of studying in the UK
• Be willing to demonstrate future contribution to capacity-building and socio-economic advancement through the benefits achieved after graduating from UK higher education
• As an alumnus of the GREAT scholarships, willing occasionally to speak to potential candidates about his or her own experience of studying in the UK.
