In our Green Futures Scholarships series, we are delighted to be partnering with Jusoor, a non-governmental organisation (NGO) that works to offer international scholarships, refugee education and entrepreneurial programmes for Syrian children and young adults. With their generous support, for September 2023 entry we are offering two fully funded Jusoor-Exeter Scholarships for Masters level study in the Faculty of Environment, Science and Economy - open to Syrian and Palestinian-Syrian applicants who reside in Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Turkey, Egypt or Iraq.

To apply and be considered for one of these awards, candidates must:

  • be Syrian (including Palestinian with Syrian Travel Document), have lived continuously in Syria prior to the current crisis, and be currently living in Syria or one of its neighbouring countries (Lebanon, Jordan, Turkey, Iraq, Egypt)
  • apply to study an eligible Masters degree at the University of Exeter, via the University's online application process
  • demonstrate academic merit by being offered admission for September 2023 by the University, and fulfilling any admission conditions set by the University
  • not already have a Masters degree
  • require financial support in order to take up the offer of admission
  • show intent to contribute to the redevelopment of Syria
  • have a strong record of leadership and community engagement, as demonstrated through volunteer and/or work experience
  • be willing to remain engaged with Jusoor's community.
