The Australia Awards aim to promote knowledge, education links, and enduring ties between Australia and our neighbours through Australia's extensive scholarship programs. The program brings together scholarships offered by the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFAT), the Department of Education and the Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research (ACIAR).

Benefits

GuateFuturo provides up to a total amount of USD 25,000 per year for a maximum of 2 years to cover remaining tuition fees, Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC), living costs and other related costs.

Requirements

Eligible

To be eligible for this scholarship, you must:

Be a citizen of Guatemala
Have an offer for a Master by Coursework or Masters by Research or PhD program at RMIT
Be an awardee of the GuateFuturo scholarship-loan
Commence full-time enrolment as an onshore international student

The GuateFuturo-RMIT University joint scholarship is jointly funded by RMIT and Fundación GuateFuturo and aims to provide further financial assistance to talented Guatemalan students.

This scholarship provides:

Funding for English Language Studies (ELICOS) up to 10 weeks per student
50% tuition fee scholarship for two eligible students for Master by Coursework program in any discipline
Full tuition fee scholarship for three eligible students for 3 years of a PhD program (with a possible extension to 3.5 years) or 2 years of a Masters by Research program (with no possibility of extension).
Scholarships will be distributed evenly across RMIT's three Colleges: 
1 for STEM College
1 for College of Design and Social Context
1 for College of Business.

How to Apply

Find an RMIT Masters by Coursework or Master by Research or PhD program.
Make an application to study at RMIT by submitting an expression of interest (EOI) for research programs. if successful, you will then be invited to submit an application.
Receive an offer from RMIT.
Submit an application for the GuateFuturo scholarship-loan scheme. For information on how to apply for the scholarship-loan, please visit the Guatefuturo website.
Selected beneficiaries of the Guatefuturo scholarship-loan scheme will then be considered and nominated for the discount through the Guatefuturo-RMIT joint scholarship.
