The fund aims to help students with basic living costs such as food, utilities and rent. Students must be able to demonstrate they are in financial difficulty and provide evidence of having applied to the Home Office for a form of leave or extension of right to stay in the UK.
The fund is not available to support the payment of tuition fees.
To be eligible, students must:
have applied to the Home Office for a form of leave or extension of right to stay in the UK ie Ukraine Extension Scheme, asylum seekers, students with limited leave to remain, etc
be registered and attending an RGU course
have exhausted all other possible sources of funding available to them
be able to prove they are in financial difficulty

Closing date for applications for session 2022-23 is Wednesday 14 June 2023. Applications received after this date will not be considered. Applications can take up to 4-6 weeks to be considered.
