Additional Requirements

To be eligible candidates must:

  • Be self-funded.
  • Submit a maximum 750 word supporting statement describing your current financial circumstance, detailing why you require the extra funding and should be considered for a hardship bursary. As we are unable to provide a full tuition fee bursary, please indicate how the remainder of the fee will be sourced.
  • Be in receipt of a formal offer to study onto a Masters course at Kent Business School for 2024 entry.

The University reserves the right not to allocate the awards if the selection panel identifies no suitable candidates. Only one KBS/University scholarship/bursary can be held by an applicant, whichever is the higher amount.

Kent Business School is pleased to offer a range of hardship bursaries to UK and International postgraduate taught students who require financial support in order to undertake and complete their master's studies.

KBS Bursaries are awarded on the grounds of financial hardship and in order for us to offer such a bursary there needs to be reference to this within the application essay. For example, some of our students are parents (especially single parents) or mature students with heavy financial commitments. Some students may be registered with a disability and further funding will contribute towards the costs of studying and/or living, whereas others may be from a low-income family and find they need to raise funds themselves. Some may find that even with working part-time (which can put a strain on studies) they simply cannot raise the funds needed.
