Northumbria University is proud to work in partnership with Rolton Group and is delighted to introduce Rolton Group Undergraduate Engineering Scholarships. The £2,000 scholarship will be awarded to two highly gifted women from a Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic background who choose to study on one of the below Engineering courses. Rolton Group Scholarship is open to highly gifted women and you must: Have one of the following categories of ethnicity: Black African, Black Caribbean, Black Other, Mixed - White and Black Caribbean, Mixed - White and Black African, Other mixed background (to include Black African, Black Caribbean or Black Other). Be a UK/Home applicant. Achieve at least 144 points (or equivalent) from your best three qualifications, for example AAA at A Level or DDD at BTEC. Apply and enrol to study on a Full-Time Engineering course listed below at the Newcastle Upon Tyne campus, starting in September 2023.Choose Northumbria as your firm choice by 08 June 2023, Meet all individual entry requirements. Be a self-funded student (ie, not in receipt of sponsorship or other funding for the payment of fees, such as employer funding). Register with Student Finance England (SFE), Student Finance Wales (SFW) or Student Finance Northern Ireland (SFNI). As a Scottish student, register with Student Award Agency for Scotland (SAAS) and apply to be means-tested for maintenance funding, in order that SASS can send your data to Student Finance England. Agree to share consent via your Government Finance Provider with Northumbria University. The students selected for a Rolton Group Scholarship will not be eligible for any other Undergraduate scholarship schemes. The scholarship is awarded as cash. Payments will be made as 25% of total in November 2022, 25% of total in February 2023 and 50% of total in May 2023. Funding is provided on an annual basis, on the condition the successful students progress to the next year of study.

Selection Process

Students who are eligible for a Rolton Group Scholarship will be identified by Northumbria University post-enrolment, there is no separate application form
If more than two students are eligible based on their point score, the successful students will be selected on the strength of their personal statement which will be assessed by the course academic
The successful students will be notified by the end of October 2023
