This bursary is for undergraduate students starting their course at the University of Brighton in academic year 2023-24. You eligibility is assessed based on your application to Student Finance England for their full undergraduate funding package. This bursary is also for students starting a non-salaried designated PGCE or designated postgraduate pre-registration health course, subject to eligibility for the same SFE undergraduate funding package. Your course must be one of the following:
- An undergraduate course
- Non-salaried designated PGCE
- Designated pre-registration postgraduate health sciences course
You must:
- You must be starting a full-time course in academic year 2023-24
- Have a residual household income of up to £25,000 per year
- Be assessed as eligible for the full Student Finance England undergraduate loans funding package
- Not be in receipt of our care leavers' or estranged students' bursary
- Be a UK National or a Irish citizen or have settled status
- Be normally resident in England
- Have been living in the UK, Channel Islands or Isle of Man for 3 continuous years before the fist day of your course.
Students on part-time courses studying between 30 and 90 credits during the academic year, who meet the other criteria, will receive a pro rata cash bursary.
Selection Process
The bursary will be paid in two equal instalments in January 2024 and May 2024.
