Scholarship offers can only be made for direct entry i.e students who are commencing their academic studies with the University in October 2023.
Deferred entry applicants ie students who are applying to the University for entry in October 2024 would make their scholarship application by the 2024 entry scholarship deadline for consideration with other scholarship applications for 2024 entry. Please note that if you are made a scholarship offer for entry in October 2023 it will not be possible to defer the scholarship offer to the following academic year - 2024.
Successful applicants will be able to demonstrate an exceptional level of excellence in Sport, Music or the Arts for example participation in sporting or musical events at a national or international level. Applicants will also be required to play an active part in Durham University's sporting, musical and performing communities.

Selection Process
Your performance level, personal statement and references will be considered by a panel of senior members of the University with significant expertise in the area of Sport, Music and the Arts.
Sports coaches and colleagues with musical and drama experience may also be consulted.
