The Australia Awards aim to promote knowledge, education links, and enduring ties between Australia and our neighbours through Australia's extensive scholarship programs. The program brings together scholarships offered by the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFAT), the Department of Education and the Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research (ACIAR).

Requirements

Eligible

You will undertake postgraduate coursework, a research dissertation and clinical training in all aspects of zoo and wildlife medicine, as well as related wildlife conservation and fieldwork opportunities.

Three-year, full-time residency and Professional Doctorate Position. Next intake will be 2022.

Deadline for applications will be announced beginning of the year 2022.

You must have a veterinary degree registrable in New Zealand, a minimum of two years' experience in domestic animal practice and be a resident of Australia or a New Zealand citizen.
You should also have a strong academic background, good time-management, written and verbal communication skills; the ability to work well in a team and be able to demonstrate a strong commitment to the fields of zoo, wildlife and conservation medicine.
