Established in 2000, Auckland University of Technology (AUT) is a public university located in Auckland, New Zealand. It has a global ranking of 412 for the year 2025 according to QS World University Rankings’ website.With a broad range of degree programs, it offers a unique academic and culturally immersive experience for international students.
AUT is the second largest university in New Zealand. We have been a university since 2000, but a place of learning for 120 years and operate in accordance with the Education Act (1989). led by a strategic team and governed by a council. The Vice-Chancellor is the head of the University and is supported by the Strategic Leadership Team. The AUT Council is the governing body of the University and is made up of lay members, academic and professional staff, at least one student, and members appointed by the government.
