    Cracow University of Technology (PK) is an autonomous state university founded in 1945, reporting to the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education. PK is one of the best technicaluniversities in Poland. The 8 CUT faculties (departments) are: Faculty of Architecture; Faculty of Computer Science and Telecommunications; Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering; Faculty of Civil Engineering; Faculty of Environmental and Power Engineering; Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Technology; Faculty of Materials Engineering and Physics, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. The degree programmes offered in English include: Architecture (1st and 2nd degree); Applied Physics (2nd degree); Chemical Technology (2nd degree); Civil Engineering (1st and 2nd degree); Computer Science (2nd degree); Environmental Engineering (2nd degree); Landscape Architecture (2nd degree); Mechanics and Machine Design (1st and 2nd degree); Power Engineering (2nd degree). All degree programmes offered by PK are accredited by the Polish Accreditation Committee. Moreover CUT earned the following international accreditations: Royal Institute of British Architects; European Network for Accreditation of Engineering Education; IFLA Europe - International Federation of Landscape Architects. Cracow University of Technology cooperates with more than 200 universities and research institutions from 54 countries. It carries out numerous international and national research projects and extraordinary faculty and students' inventions are recognized in national and international contests. There are Technology Transfer Centre and numerous accredited laboratories at the university including the Malopolska Laboratory for Energy Efficient Building which is situated in the most modern and zero emission building in Europe. Cracow University of Technology draws on both rich academic traditions, as well and the experiences and achievements of its patron Tadeusz Kosciuszko.
