Southport College
Southport College
About
Southport College was previously known as Southport Technical College which opened in 1935. That institution brought together a number of technical courses which had been offered throughout Southport (then part of Lancashire) since 1887.
In 1938 the Southport School of Arts and Crafts was founded and two institutions were amalgamated in 1989 to form Southport College.
January 2018 saw the successful merger of the two further education colleges in Southport; King George V College and Southport College, further strengthening the post 16 education offer within the town and surrounding areas.
Southport College is a leading provider of vocational courses for school leavers and adult learners, as well as offering expert Apprenticeship training and a wide range of Higher Education courses.
