University of Electronic Science and Technology of China in CHN

Foundedin 1956, the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC) isa research-intensive university located in Chengdu, China, which is ranked inthe top 100 of the QS University Rankings: BRICS 2016. Originally founded asthe Chengdu Institute of Radio Engineering, the university was named one ofChina’s National Key Institutes by the Higher Education Ministry of the Statein 1960. It has an enrollment of over 31,000 students, with 3,000 facultymembers. Theuniversity offers a range of scholarships for students from the US, EuropeanUnion and beyond, including bilateral exchange scholarships and scholarshipsfor new graduate students. UESTC also offers English-taught programs, whichhave a slightly higher tuition fee than Chinese-taught programs.
