    AMASE: Joint European Master's Programme in Advanced Materials Science and Engineering

    About

    The students must complete 120 ECTS during the two-year programme (60 ECTS per year). Of the total credits, 15 ECTS points are reserved for transversal skills such as language learning, intercultural competence, sustainability, data science, entrepreneurship, etc. In the first semester, at least 30 ECTS must be earned. At least 25 of these ECTS must come from the scientific and technical courses, which are divided into three modules: M-I: Structure and Properties of Materials (at least 12 ECTS points) M-II: Materials Characterisation (at least 5 ECTS points) M-III: Materials Engineering and Processing Technologies (at least 5 ECTS points) In the second semester, students choose one of five specialisation tracks, which will continue into the third semester: Track 1: Advanced Metallic Materials Track 2: Polymers and Composite Materials Track 3: Smart Surfaces and Functional Materials Track 4: Advanced Processing Technologies Track 5: Nano/Biomaterials From the 30 ECTS points in the second as well as in the third semester, 25 ECTS must come from technical courses, seminars and/or projects of the selected track. The Master's thesis (30 ECTS) must be written in the six months of the fourth semester.     Entry Requirements

    Academic admission requirements include a BSc or equivalent in the fields of materials science and engineering, physics, chemistry, or another engineering discipline.
