    • Architecture has been taught at DMU for over 125 years, meaning we have impressive industry links which will support your learning – you'll work on live design projects, collaborate with industry professionals and be supported in securing a CV-enhancing placement year.

    English language requirements

    If English is not your first language, an IELTS score of 6.0 overall with 5.5 in each band (or equivalent) when you start the course is essential.

    English language tuition, delivered by our British Council-accredited Centre for English Language Learning, is available both before and throughout the course if you need it.

    Graduate careers

    Many graduates work towards chartered membership with the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists (CIAT) or the Chartered Association of Building Engineers (CABE), gaining two years of practical training to achieve professional status. Others progress to postgraduate study, such as DMU’s Architecture and Sustainability MSc.
