Exercise and sport science is a dynamic and rapidly evolving field that focuses on prescribing and delivering exercise programs to achieve health and performance benefits.

    Complete both programs in only one extra year of study and graduate with two degrees, increasing your in-demand skills and employability in roles such as performance analysis, research and high-level sports coaching.

    The Bachelor of Applied Data Science equips Exercise and Sport Science students with data analysis and AI skills to optimise athlete performance, injury prevention, personalised training, and so on. It enhances career opportunities in sports analytics, health tech, and research-driven practice.

    Exercise and Sport Science students are encouraged to consider concurrent enrolment in the Bachelor of Applied Data Science program.

    Exercise scientists can be found working in a variety of settings, including professional sports clubs, academies or institutes of sport, health and fitness centres, research institutes, hospitals, and private practices or clinics.

    Course overview

    We offer a globally recognised Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science program that encompasses all aspects of physical health delivered through a combination of online and face-to-face teaching.

    Students will be able to undertake electives in alternative health areas (nutrition, anatomy, podiatry or psychology) as well as education, business or media to prepare themselves for professional or further postgraduate study opportunities.

    Entry Requirements

    Admission to our undergraduate degree programs usually requires successful completion of a senior secondary school qualification similar to the Higher School Certificate (HSC), the highest educational award in New South Wales schools.

    English Program Requirements

    Applicants who do not speak English as a first language must demonstrate that they meet the University's English proficiency requirement. Further information regarding English language proficiency requirements can be found at the English Language Proficiency for Admission Policy.
