Course overview
Develop novel solutions to the world's biggest challenges through research in Chemical Engineering. This course combines tailored taught modules with the independent research of a traditional PhD.
You’ll cover a rich spectrum of research areas, paving the way for numerous opportunities inside and outside academia.
I was also pleased with the support I got at the beginning of the course and the freedom to experiment and plan the research on my own. I am free to plan my own experiments, but in case there is a problem I can always get support.
Programme Structure
You will mainly be based in the School of Chemical Engineering, but many of our research projects involve collaboration with industrial and government organisations. Below is an indicative idea of what you could spend your time on, but your research may be different to this and will be discussed in advance with your supervisor. You are also expected to undertake both Taught Modules (120 credits) and Research as part of this programme.
