    German-French Master's Programme in Physics

    About

The German-French Master's degree programme in physics, which is jointly organised and run by Saarland University, the University of Lorraine, the University of Grenoble and the University of Luxembourg, is the programme of choice for physics students looking to prepare for an international career. Students can choose two out of the four universities. This Master's programme enjoys an excellent reputation. It combines high-quality academic training in physics with a strong international focus. Students in the programme are given the opportunity to actively engage with questions of current research interest. Students in the MSc programme work together on current research projects and are encouraged to publish the results of their research work. They are able to develop an excellent command of French and important intercultural skills almost without effort and without needing to extend their period of study. The content of the programme is based on the physics curricula offered by the universities and covers such fields as the physics of matter, quantum physics, thermodynamics, plasma physics, nuclear physics, and micro- and nanosystems. Requirements

    Entry Requirements

In addition to a German higher education entrance qualification ("Abitur") or an equivalent higher education entrance qualification from the student's home country, applicants must hold a Bachelor's degree (BSc) or equivalent in physics or another relevant discipline. Ideally, applicants will have completed the German-French-Luxembourgish Study Course in Physics Bachelor's programme, but this is not a mandatory requirement.
