Life Science is an interdisciplinary and research-oriented study programme. By studying Life Science at the University of Konstanz, you will acquire a sound, high-quality scientific education that equally builds on chemistry and biology. You will be equipped with particular competence in the field of modern biomolecular research. In addition to the focus areas of classical biology and chemistry, it includes the following areas: biochemistry, biophysics, bioinformatics, immunology, pharmacology, and medicine. Biology focus areas include: biochemistry, biochemical pharmacology, biophysics, molecular genetics, immunology, microbiology, and cell biology. Chemistry focus areas include: biochemical and biophysical analytics, bioorganic chemistry, cellular chemistry, and proteomics as well as carbohydrate, protein, and nucleic acids chemistry.

Entry requirements for the Master's Programme Life Science are:
documentation of a three-year (or longer) study programme at a state or officially recognised institution of higher education or Berufsakademie (vocational academy) in the subject Life Science (minimum degree Bachelor of Sciences or equivalent) or a related subject
If the subject of your Bachelor's degree is a subject related to Life Science at the University of Konstanz, you have to have good assessments in the areas relevant for Life Science (organic chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology).
Applicants with a higher education degree obtained in a country that is not a member of the Bologna Process have to take the GRE test and reach at least a score of 155 (Verbal Reasoning and Quantitative Reasoning Score).
