    The Honours degree in paramedicine takes your capabilities to the next level and is designed to develop graduates who will contribute to research in the four key focus areas: paramedic clinical practice, paramedic education, paramedic health and wellbeing, and paramedic roles in health services.

    The course aims to help high-achieving students acquire the knowledge, skills, and attitudes to achieve excellence in research scholarship, and is a direct pathway for higher research training including PhD and research Masters.

    You will become equipped to complete evidence-based research and complete your course by contributing your own research project to paramedic research literature.

    Career opportunities

    In addition to working as clinical paramedics, Honours students can further their career opportunities in research positions and contribute to the growing area of out-of-hospital research.

    Qualifications

    Entry to this Honours degree will require completion of all requirements of the award of the pass degree of the Bachelor of Paramedicine (or equivalent), with an average of 70% or higher in at least 24 credit points at third year level. For acceptance into the Honours degree, applications from the graduates of the Monash Bachelor of Paramedic Studies or graduates with paramedic degrees from other universities will need to demonstrate that they have achieved the appropriate academic standard to the above.
