    Expand your clinical expertise and x-ray analysis skills with our new graduate qualification that builds on your previous knowledge and professional experience. It’s ideally suited for rural and remote general practitioners and radiographers, nurse practitioners, ED radiographers and general radiographers, paramedics, physiotherapists and podiatrists.

    Extend your X-Ray Image Interpretation abilities through a methodological approach to image analysis in an emergency or trauma setting.

    Build upon your clinical expertise and learn how to interpret radiographic images involving trauma, injury or disease in adult and paediatric patients. Complementing your existing knowledge, you’ll be able to make informed, evidence-based findings following trauma to the musculoskeletal system, chest and abdomen. You can also complete an elective unit relevant to your clinical practice.

    You’ll develop important clinical judgement and decision-making skills to shape your future practice. Boost your confidence in emergency image interpretation and help deliver better outcomes for patients.

    Qualifications

    An Australian bachelor degree with a high pass (55%) average, in a health discipline leading to registration or accreditation by a recognised professional body as either a general practitioner, radiographer, physiotherapist, podiatrist, chiropractor, paramedic practitioner or a nurse with an advanced qualification leading to registration and or recognition as a nurse practitioner.

    International students located in Australia wishing to study this course must hold professional registration to practice in Australia and have the appropriate visa to allow full-time or part-time study. All other international students are only able to study this course in their country of residence. Students located outside Australia must also hold professional registration to practice in their country of residence.
