About Bachelor of Communication Sciences and Disorders

The University of Maine offers the only undergraduate and graduate programs in Communication Sciences and Disorders in the State of Maine. The Undergraduate Program provides the background for students to apply for Master's programs in either speech-language pathology or audiology. It also equips majors to pursue careers or graduate study in a variety of fields including education, business, and health care.

Currently, our students have the opportunity to do incredible things. The Conley Speech Center on campus has established a Speech Therapy Telepractice Program which gives students the opportunity to give citizens of Maine speech therapy remotely. Our graduate students also assist with free hearing screenings during Maine's Special Olympics.
