FH Münster University of Applied Sciences in DEU 

Our university was founded on August 1st, 1971 from the merger of state and private construction and engineering schools as well as institutions with professional training. At that time the number of students was around 2,300 - today there are more than 15,000 young people studying in over 100 Bachelor and Master courses. Accompanied by an in-house doctoral college, around 110 cooperative doctoral candidates are currently qualifying.

Over the years, the Münster University of Applied Sciences has developed into a practical, international, and interdisciplinary university. Lecturers and students alike contribute to the successful transfer of scientific knowledge into practice. It pays off: Today our university is one of the largest and most successful universities for applied sciences in Germany.

With our educational offer and our research work, we are at the service of our society. Quality is the basis for all of our work areas. 

It is the benchmark for teaching with its diverse offerings geared towards the needs of the market. It is the foundation for research success with one of the highest third-party funding quotas at universities of applied sciences in Germany. And it is the trademark of a finely tuned system of internal resource management. 

In 2011, the Münster University of Applied Sciences was the first university in Germany to receive system accreditation. Our quality management and our exchange processes with practice have received awards from the Stifterverband für die Deutsche Wissenschaft, among others.
