We have five campuses across the world: Edinburgh, Scottish Borders, Orkney, Dubai and Malaysia, as well as 53 Approved Learning Partners (ALPs) and educational collaborative partners in 150 countries We have over 29,000 students studying with us at our campuses and online through distance learning (year end 2017) One third of our on-campus students studying in Scotland are from outside the UK, making Heriot-Watt one of the most internationally diversified of any UK university

Information Services supports research, learning, teaching and administrative activities by providing Library, Information and Learning Technology services to Heriot-Watt students and staff around the world.
We develop Heriot-Watt's global communications infrastructure, enabling the University to fulfill its international ambitions by connecting students and staff with each other, and with the information they create, process, publish and consume through the information systems and IT facilities we manage.

We provide and support:

5 campus libraries offering a variety of study environments the latest learning technologies - via our VLE and in our lecture theatres
a collection of over 160,000 printed books and over 480,000 ebooks access to over 170,000 print and electronic journals and more than 270 databases
Help, advice and training on accessing these resources and applying technologies to exploit them is available at our libraries and online.

Career-focused degrees
We're first in Scotland for graduate employability and our graduates are first in the UK for CEO or MD roles (Novuna Business Cash Flow, 2023). This is thanks to our career-focused degrees and lifetime support from our careers team.
