Offenburg University of Applied Sciences in Germany

Founded in 1964 as a "National School of Engineering" Offenburg University of Applied Sciences quickly established itself as a high-performance educational institution with a practical orientation. Today our University forms a thriving community, with more than 4,500 students on two campuses. We offer Bachelor's and Master's degrees in these four departments: Business and Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, Mechanical and Process Engineering, and Media and Information.

They tinker with motors and solar cells, program soccer-playing robots, make films, draw comics and ensure that containers are transported from Venezuela to Hamburg: the students at the Offenburg University of Applied Sciences work in the fields of technology, economics and media, where their knowledge is more than is asked.

The university, which began teaching in Offenburg as a state engineering school in April 1964 with 72 students, has been training young people for 50 years. Today the number of students has grown to more than 4,500. The Offenburg University of Applied Sciences is well networked regionally and yet surprisingly international: around 500 young people from abroad study each semester at the two university locations in Offenburg and Gengenbach.
