    About

Founded in 1894 as the Lancashire County Institute of Agriculture, Myerscough College is one of the oldest further education colleges in Lancashire. We have delved through our archives to bring you the history of our college, split into seven parts. It is the story of how we turned from a cheesemaking school to become one of the UK's largest land-based and sports colleges.

Equality, diversity and inclusion form one of the core values of Myerscough College, 'Opportunities for all to succeed'.

We are an open, inclusive and welcoming College where equality and diversity are promoted and celebrated and where discrimination and harassment is challenged. We encourage positive behaviour and challenge all forms of negative behaviour and ideas.

Myerscough College believes in providing opportunities for all to succeed. This means making sure that everyone is treated fairly and with respect and fully embrace the FREDIE principles of Fairness, Respect, Equality, Diversity, Inclusion and Engagement to advance equality.

Our commitment sets high expectations of conduct and behaviours all of our staff, students and stakeholders.

Myerscough College not only fulfils its legal position in relation to current and future equality legislation, but additionally, goes beyond compliance in providing and promoting opportunities for all, free from any aspect of discrimination, harassment or victimisation.

Myerscough College advances FREDIE amongst our partners including our supply chain. We have inclusive procurement practices and use our procurement function to influence good FREDIE practices in our supply chain. We set clear expectations and make it clear that we will only work with suppliers who share our commitment to FREDIE
