    About

West Dean College of Arts and Conservation is internationally recognised for excellence. Our postgraduate and Masters degrees are awarded by the University of Sussex. We also deliver up to 800 short courses in arts, crafts and conservation. West Dean College has one of the only professional tapestry studios in the UK and has worked with artists including John Piper, Martin Creed and Tracey Emin. Founded by Edward James, a significant patron and collector of surrealist art, the college is based in a historic house, his former home. We are set in award winning gardens open to the public
